Make your mark as you grow your career! As a Chemical’s Contracts Management Specialist, you will develop and execute strategies that drive value across a diverse portfolio. Leveraging market intelligence and spending insights, you will optimize sourcing decisions, manage risk, and enhance supplier performance. This role offers the opportunity to influence procurement strategy across Canada while building expertise in strategic sourcing and contract management.

Key Accountabilities:
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives, applying forward-looking thinking and commercial acumen to optimize contract outcomes and mitigate risk
- Lead contract negotiation and lifecycle management, ensuring alignment with commercial goals, regulatory requirements, and Canadian contract law, while adapting to evolving market conditions
- Apply market research and industry analysis to evaluate suppliers, assess pricing, and identify opportunities across key commodity portfolios, particularly in chemicals and related categories
- Manage supplier and contractor relationships to enhance performance, foster collaboration, and drive continuous value creation through effective contract governance
- Utilize data analytics, spend analysis, and benchmarking to generate actionable insights, enabling informed decision-making and improved cost management
- Communicate complex commercial concepts clearly through impactful presentations, influencing stakeholders and supporting alignment on sourcing strategies
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation by analyzing market trends, identifying process enhancements, and advancing best practices within supply chain and procurement activities
What You Bring to the Role:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, law, or a related field from a recognized university.
- Minimum of 10 - 15 years of progressive experience in operations, category management and strategic sourcing
- Demonstrated ability to initiate and develop strategies without prompting from the business unit
- Demonstrated ability to influence business units and others
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external vendors
- Professional certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) are considered an asset
