About the Role
MeLor Services connects Registered Early Childhood Educators with licensed childcare centres across Toronto and the surrounding areas. As an on-call supply RECE, you’ll step into a variety of classroom settings — infants through school-age — sometimes leading the classroom independently and other times supporting permanent staff.
This role is ideal for RECEs who love variety, value flexibility, and want to grow their experience across multiple childcare environments.
What You’ll Do
- Lead or support classroom programming, daily routines, and learning activities depending on the needs of the centre
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities aligned with How Does Learning Happen?
- Guide children’s emotional, social, and physical development through play and intentional interaction
- Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom atmosphere
- Adapt confidently to different age groups and centre cultures
What You Need
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education (required)
- Active registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE) (required)
- Experience working in a licensed childcare setting in Ontario (required)
- Valid Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- Standard First Aid & CPR certification
- WHMIS certification
- Up-to-date immunization records
- Strong English communication skills

Commuting note: Centres are located across Toronto and the surrounding areas; some shifts may require up to 1 hour of travel by TTC or other transit.
