Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Painter Helper to assist our experienced painting team with residential, commercial, and industrial projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in construction, restoration, and painting trades to gain hands-on experience and develop valuable skills. The Painter Helper will support various tasks including surface preparation, equipment handling, and assisting with painting operations, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to high standards. Prior construction or painting experience is a plus, but we provide training for motivated candidates eager to learn. Responsibilities
- Assist with surface preparation including sanding, caulking, and masking to ensure surfaces are ready for painting
- Support the application of paint, stains, and coatings on residential, commercial, or industrial projects
- Handle hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during various phases of the job
- Read blueprints or schematics to understand project specifications and requirements
- Assist with rigging and scaffolding setup to access high or hard-to-reach areas safely
- Maintain a clean work area by organizing tools and disposing of debris regularly
- Support carpentry tasks such as minor repairs or adjustments as needed
- Follow safety protocols and communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow
- Assist in the mixing of paints and preparation of materials according to project specifications
Experience
- Prior experience in construction, restoration, or painting is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated learners
- Familiarity with residential painting, commercial painting, or industrial painting projects is advantageous
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, or use of hand tools and power tools is beneficial
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment are essential
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently on multiple projects
- Experience with caulking and rigging techniques is a plus but not mandatory
