Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused General Laborer (GL) to support operations within a GxP-regulated pharmaceutical warehouse environment. This role is governed by the terms and conditions of the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
The successful candidate will perform general warehouse duties including receiving, picking, packing, inventory control, and shipping, while ensuring strict compliance with GxP, quality, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and verify incoming shipments against documentation
- Unload deliveries and transport goods using approved equipment
- Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders per specifications and quality requirements
- Process returns and report damaged or incorrect items
- Perform cycle counts and inventory audits
- Load outbound shipments in accordance with procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant warehouse environment
- Operate RF scanners and warehouse systems accurately
- Follow all GxP, safety, and SOP requirements
- Report discrepancies, delays, or non-conformances to supervision
- Work collaboratively with team members and other departments
- Perform other duties as assigned in accordance with the CBA
Qualifications Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Clean Criminal Background Check
Experience
- Warehouse or distribution experience preferred
- Experience in regulated environments is an asset
Knowledge
- Understanding of GxP standards is an asset
- Familiarity with quality systems (ISO, Lean, Six Sigma) preferred
- Knowledge of safe material handling practices
Skills & Physical Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Effective communication and teamwork
- Ability to lift 10–50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods
- Flexible and willing to learn new tasks
