DAY CAMP COUNSELLORS
Kettleby Valley is looking for highly responsible leaders and role models who are at least 18+ by Dec.31 2026. Our day camp counsellors are required to build connections with and among their campers and have a positive influence on them throughout their camp experience. Working with children in the past is not essential but is a great asset. Being a leader and role model to youth is an important responsibility, and this position will provide you with valuable experience and skills which will help to advance your resume and career goals. Activities such as Rock Climbing, Canoeing, Archery, Paintball, and Arts and Crafts add to the fun and enjoyment of the job. Counsellors are paid a set salary of $2400-2650/month.
The Camp
Kettleby Valley is a traditional summer camp, offering both day and overnight camp programs in the heart of York Region. We host approximately 240 day and 100 overnight campers each week throughout July and August. We are situated on 60 private acres with forests, fields and waterfront. Our goal is to create unique outdoor experiences for campers and staff while developing resilience, confidence, and a healthy sense of independence. Each year, we bring together a team from near and abroad to deliver our highly sought after program. Kettleby Valley is large enough to have the energy and enthusiasm to make kids feel like they’re part of something special, yet small enough to be able maintain a sense of community.
Candidates must be available Monday to Friday from July 6-Aug 8, with the exception of Aug 3. There will be a mandatory staff training July 2-4.
