About the Role
As our Procurement Specialist, you'll manage the purchasing of raw materials, components, and MRO supplies critical to wire harness production — including wire, connectors, terminals, sleeving, and other electromechanical components. You'll work closely with our engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure materials meet specifications, arrive on time, and are sourced at the best possible value.
What You'll Do
- Source, negotiate, and purchase raw materials and components (wire, connectors, terminals, harness sleeving, fasteners, etc.) from approved suppliers
- Issue and track purchase orders, confirming pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production planning to prevent shortages or overstock
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers to support cost savings, quality, and supply chain resilience
- Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier pricing agreements, and material specifications in the ERP/MRP system
- Resolve discrepancies related to pricing, delivery, quality, or invoicing with suppliers
- Track supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, responsiveness) and escalate issues as needed
- Collaborate with Engineering and Quality to ensure purchased materials meet BOM and specification requirements
- Support cost-reduction initiatives through supplier negotiations, alternate sourcing, and volume consolidation
- Stay informed on market trends, material lead times, and component shortages (e.g., connectors, semiconductors) that could impact production
What You Bring
- 2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain — manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience purchasing electronic/electromechanical components (wire, connectors, terminals) is a strong plus
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems
- Strong negotiation, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to read BOMs and basic engineering drawings/specifications
- Proficiency in Excel and general computer skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
