Key Responsibilities
- Support technical sales, customer meetings, product demonstrations, and solution discussions for VL Energy’s ES-PEMS, ES-OptiEnergy, emissions monitoring, and energy optimization platforms.
- Assist with customer onboarding, training, troubleshooting, data review, and ongoing technical support.
- Review customer technical information, including single-line diagrams, plot plans, instrument lists, sensor data, metering information, generator specifications, and site operating data.
- Support the design, testing, calibration, deployment, and troubleshooting of sensors, instrumentation, metering systems, control hardware, and data acquisition equipment.
- Verify sensor and instrumentation performance to support operational reliability, data accuracy, and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with software, data, engineering, and project teams to integrate field equipment with VL Energy’s cloud-based and AI-driven platforms.
- Prepare technical proposals, customer summaries, implementation plans, wiring diagrams, technical documentation, and standard operating procedures.
- Support field-installed equipment maintenance, issue tracking, quality checks, and system optimization.
- Assist with project coordination, customer follow-up, internal action items, and cross-functional problem solving.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Instrumentation Technology, Mechatronics, Power Systems, Industrial Automation, or a related technical discipline.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in instrumentation, electrical systems, technical sales support, customer support, field application engineering, industrial automation, or energy technology.
- Strong understanding of sensors, instrumentation, metering systems, control systems, data acquisition, signal wiring, calibration, and industrial hardware testing.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, instrument datasheets, control panel drawings, site layouts, and equipment specifications.
- Practical knowledge of power generation, industrial facilities, oil and gas operations, energy systems, or emissions monitoring applications.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify technical issues, organize information, and coordinate solutions with internal teams.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics clearly to customers and internal teams.
- Strong writing skills for preparing technical proposals, customer updates, documentation, meeting notes, and support records.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and project tracking tools.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, customer-focused, and able to manage multiple technical and customer-facing tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PEMS, CEMS, emissions monitoring, energy management systems, SCADA, PLCs, IoT sensors, industrial automation, or environmental compliance systems.
- Familiarity with natural gas generators, distributed power, cogeneration, microgrids, metering systems, control panels, and field instrumentation.
- Experience supporting industrial software platforms, including onboarding, troubleshooting, user training, data review, and reporting.
- Exposure to cloud-based monitoring platforms, AI-enabled industrial analytics, data acquisition systems, or digital compliance tools.
- Experience preparing customer-facing materials such as technical proposals, ROI summaries, comparison tables, implementation plans, solution diagrams, and value proposition documents.
- Interest in clean technology, industrial digital transformation, AI-enabled monitoring, sustainability, and energy optimization.
Pay: $18.00-$150.00 per hour
