We are seeking a Workday Reporting Lead to join the Workforce Intelligence (WFI) Center of Excellence (COE). This role reports to the Business Intelligence (BI) Lead and will serve as the primary leader for Workday reporting strategy, governance, and delivery across the enterprise. The Workday Reporting Lead will manage a team of Workday report developers, drive operational excellence, and strengthen reporting capabilities that support HR and business decision-making.
What will your day-to-day look like?
Mentor and develop a high-performing team of Workday report writers.
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
Own the team’s development roadmap, including skill enhancement, personalized career growth, and technical upskilling.
Provide ongoing coaching, prioritization guidance, and performance feedback.
Operational Excellence & Governance
Manage the full reporting lifecycle including intake, scoping, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and retirement, ensuring transparency and consistent stakeholder engagement.
Establish and enforce governance for Workday reporting, including naming conventions, global calculated field standards, documentation requirements, testing protocols, and intake processes.
Ensure all reporting solutions meet quality, accuracy, security, and data integrity standards.
Maintain an enterprise Workday report catalog and drive adherence to standards across reporting teams.
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across reporting processes, tools, and methodologies.
Ensure reporting compliance with data privacy, security, and audit requirements.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Partner with Human Resources (HR) Digital & Technology (HRDT), Security, and Workday reporting teams across RTX to ensure reporting aligns with upstream configuration, business processes, and security roles.
Strengthen relationships with cross-functional partners to enhance Workday reporting capabilities and improve user experience.
Enhance and expand self-service reporting and dashboard capabilities for managers, HR, and senior leaders.
Translate ambiguous business questions into clear reporting requirements and strategic Workday solutions, providing consultative guidance to senior stakeholders.
Partner closely with Performance & Talent, Compensation, HR Business Partners, and COE stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver solutions that support key programs (i.e. Performance Impact, Annual Compensation Planning).
Lead change management and user enablement efforts by developing training materials, documentation, and communication that support adoption of Workday self-service reporting.
Strategic Impact
Play a key role in maturing the Insights at Scale operating model by elevating Workday as a foundational reporting platform.
Serve as a strategic partner to the BI Lead in shaping the broader BI product strategy.
Drive improvements that increase scalability, strengthen governance, and advance reporting maturity.
Influence stakeholders and leaders across HR and Digital Tech on reporting practices, standards, and best-in-class approaches.
What do you need to be successful?
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in reporting, analytics, or business intelligence; or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as a Workday Report Writer, including experience with Workday Performance, Talent Management, and Compensation modules.
Strong understanding of Workday’s HCM data model, business processes, domains, and security structure, and how these components impact reporting design and data availability.
Minimum 1 year leading or managing a team of reporting or analytics professionals, including goal setting, prioritization, coaching, and performance management.
Prior experience designing and maintaining Advanced, Composite, Matrix, and Trending reports and developing complex calculated fields in Workday.
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience creating Discovery Boards and advanced dashboards in Workday.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Proven ability to lead technical teams with strong adaptability, emotional intelligence, and strategic thinking to deliver results in a dynamic, fast-paced, and matrixed environment.
Familiarity with Workday Security framework and role-based access controls.
Experience working with HR data and HR systems.
Experience using project management tools such as Jira.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

The salary range for this role is 123,750 CAD - 173,750 CAD . The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
