Kennel Attendant at Ardiel Animal Hospital-
Ardiel Animal Hospital is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and hardworking Kennel Attendant to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who loves animals, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in providing excellent care for pets.
Responsibilities-
- Feed, water, caring and administer medications to animals as directed
- Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment
- Laundry and maintaining a clean hospital environment
- Monitor animals for signs of illness or distress and report any concerns to management
- Monitoring pets and reporting concerns to Veterinary staff
- Maintain detailed records of animal health, behavior, and daily activities
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and assisting pet owners during drop-off and pick-up times
- Heavy lifting when handling large or heavy animals or supplies
Qualifications-
- Genuine love of animals and commitment to their well-being
- Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with pet owners and visitors
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and time-management skills
- Previous animal care experience is an asset
