We are looking for organized and positive Owner Operators domiciled out of our Prince George and Vernon terminals; who have exceptional customer relation and cummunication skills to join our team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safe and professional movement of our freight and equipment over BC highways.
- Consistently meet lane transit times to meet on-time arrival schedules.
- Compliance with company policies and procedures, NCS regulations.
- Meet fuel mileage and safety targets.
Requirements:
- Class 1 License with clean driver’s abstract is required
- 6 -12 months of previous Class 1 mountain driving experience required
- Previous reefer experience is a definite asset
- Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English
- Positive attitude and presentation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure under stress
- Must be able to drive at night and be available for various shifts and destinations
- Complies with company procedures, rules and regulations
Compensation:
- Reliable tractor spec’d for highway operations. Sleeper berth required for routes with layover operations.
- Clean driver’s abstract.
- BC highway experience.
- Experience pulling reefer trailers would be an asset.
- Effectively reads, writes and verbally communicates in English.
- Positive, professional attitude.
- Mountain and winter driving experience preferred.
We offer a very competitive mileage and fuel cap with company fuel account, plus pay for all en-route worktime. Group benefits available.
