HVAC Apprentice – Join Our Team
Hammer’s Heating & Cooling is looking for a motivated and reliable HVAC Apprentice to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone with at least one year of hands-on experience who wants to build a long-term career in the HVAC industry. You’ll gain valuable field experience working on a variety of residential and commercial systems while being part of a supportive, team-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, including boilers, air conditioners, and ventilation equipment
Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to diagnose issues and determine solutions
Perform routine maintenance to ensure systems operate efficiently and reliably
Troubleshoot mechanical problems and complete repairs as required
Support new system installations, including piping and equipment setup
Complete basic welding tasks for repairs or modifications when needed
Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of residential HVAC experience (2+ years considered an asset)
Previous experience in HVAC or a related mechanical trade
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on field experience
Knowledge of HVAC systems, diagnostics, and troubleshooting methods
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
HVAC certification or technical training is considered an asset
