Alexander Willowridge LP is seeking an experienced Project Accountant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate combines strong financial expertise with project controls experience, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to build positive working relationships with both internal stakeholders and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain project forecasts, cost reports, and financial performance reporting.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, commitments, and profitability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate and manage change orders, ensuring accurate financial tracking and documentation.
- Support project controls processes, including cost tracking, forecasting, progress reporting, and earned value analysis where applicable.
- Work closely with Project Managers and Operations teams to identify financial risks and opportunities.
- Prepare client-facing reports and participate in project review meetings.
- Assist with month-end project reporting, accruals, and financial reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure reporting deadlines are met.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients while providing exceptional service and communication.
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of experience in Project Controls, Project Accounting, or a related project financial management role.
- Experience with forecasting, budgeting, project reporting, and cost control.
- Demonstrated experience managing project change orders.
- Strong understanding of project controls principles within industrial construction, engineering, or similar industries.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively with clients and project teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and project management/accounting software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.
- Experience supporting large industrial construction projects.
- Experience working in a client-focused project environment.
