Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. In this role, you will provide professional massage therapy services to clients seeking support for symptoms relating to pregnancy, concussion, workplace strain/injuries, motor vehicle accidents, etc. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of anatomy, movement mechanics, and a commitment to delivering exceptional care. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough client assessments to understand individual needs and develop personalized treatment plans
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions utilizing various techniques tailored to client requirements
- Maintain accurate and detailed client records, including treatment notes and progress reports
- Educate clients on post-treatment care and recommend appropriate follow-up therapies or exercises
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable treatment environment in compliance with health and safety standards
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals when necessary to support comprehensive client care (pelvic health/vestibular and MSK Physiotherapy, Naturopathic Medicine, Occupational Therapy, Psychotherapy)
- Stay current with industry best practices, new techniques, and continuing education requirements
Skills
- Strong knowledge of anatomy relevant to massage therapy and client health conditions
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and ensure client satisfaction
- Effective communication skills for explaining treatments, instructions, and health-related information clearly
- Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine interest in helping clients improve their physical health and overall well-being
- Flexibility to adapt treatments based on individual client needs and preferences
