Templeman LLP is searching for a professional and motivated individual to join the Real Estate group of our Belleville office. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years’ experience as a real estate legal clerk, demonstrate excellent organizational skills, and possess the ability to quickly adapt to new environments while bringing quiet leadership through their exceptional skill set in a dynamic setting.

Our ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 10+ years’ experience as a real estate clerk, with recognized expertise in both residential and commercial real estate transactions, including more complex and high-value matters.
- Extensive hands-on experience in commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and refinancings, with the ability to manage complex, high-value files from initial due diligence through to closing with minimal supervision.
- We are seeking a true expert in the field, an experienced Senior Real Estate Clerk who brings deep technical knowledge, sound judgment, and a high degree of precision to their work.
- A professional, client-focused approach, with the confidence and interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, lawyers, lenders, and other stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to critically review and analyze legal and financial documentation, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues proactively.
- Proven ability to take ownership of files and work independently, while collaborating effectively with lawyers, clerks, and external professionals, including realtors, lenders, and financial institutions.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage a high volume of files, prioritize competing deadlines, and consistently deliver accurate, high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and precision, particularly in the preparation and review of legal documents, statements of adjustments, and complex closing documentation.
- Advanced knowledge of real estate processes and documentation, including title searches, registrations, financings, and closings, with the ability to navigate sophisticated transaction structures.
- Excellent command of the English language, including spelling, grammar, and legal terminology.
- High level of proficiency with legal and real estate software (e.g., GhostPractice or comparable practice management platform, Teraview, LCS, Unity, or similar platforms).
