Associate Dentist – Government Institutional Dental Services (Casual / Contract)
Overview
We are seeking experienced, motivated, and compassionate Associate Dentists to join our team providing dental services in secure institutional healthcare settings across Ontario.
This is an excellent opportunity for dentists who enjoy providing emergency and basic dental care in a well-organized clinical environment. Successful applicants may have opportunities to work at multiple institutional locations following completion of the required security clearance.
Responsibilities
* Provide emergency and basic dental treatment.
* Perform examinations and diagnose urgent dental conditions.
* Perform dental extractions competently and confidently.
* Provide restorative treatment (fillings) whenever clinically indicated.
* Whenever possible, complete the required treatment on the same day.
* Treat approximately 8–10 scheduled patients during a standard clinic day.
* Maintain accurate patient records and complete required documentation.
* Submit a daily treatment summary, including the number of examinations, extractions, restorations, and other procedures performed.
* Work professionally with dental assistants and institutional healthcare staff.
* Report to the clinic on time and remain on site until the scheduled clinic closing time (normally 4:00 p.m.), unless otherwise authorized.
Requirements
* DDS/DMD or equivalent dental degree.
* Current registration in good standing with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO).
* Minimum three years of clinical experience preferred.
* Must be competent in routine dental extractions and basic restorative dentistry.
* Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage emergency patients efficiently.
* Must be eligible to obtain institutional security clearance.
* Reliable, punctual, professional, and committed to high standards of patient care.
Schedule
* Casual/Contract positions.
* Approximately 7-hour clinic day (8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m.).
* Opportunities available at multiple locations across Ontario.
* Flexible scheduling based on operational requirements and staff availability
Pay: $700.00-$900.00 per day
