Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Groundskeeper/Maintenance professional to maintain and enhance the appearance and functionality of outdoor spaces. This role involves performing landscape maintenance, gardening, and general upkeep to ensure a safe, attractive environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work, possess basic maintenance skills, and be capable of operating various tools and equipment.
Duties
- Mow lawns, trim shrubs, prune trees, and perform other landscaping tasks to maintain aesthetic appeal
- Use hand tools, power tools, and irrigation equipment for routine maintenance and repairs
- Assist with planting, watering, fertilizing, and caring for plants and gardens
- Maintain pathways, walkways, and outdoor structures to ensure safety and usability
- Monitor irrigation systems for proper operation and make adjustments as needed
- Remove debris, leaves, and trash from grounds regularly to uphold cleanliness standards
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in landscape maintenance and repairs
- Knowledge of horticulture principles, gardening techniques, and plant care
- Experience with landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, planting, and fertilizing
- Ability to operate irrigation systems effectively and troubleshoot issues
- Strong maintenance skills with the ability to perform minor repairs on outdoor structures or equipment
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Attention to detail to ensure grounds are well-kept and safe for visitors or employees
- Good communication skills for coordinating tasks with team members or supervisors
