Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience working on various types of machinery and equipment. Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on automobiles, trucks, and heavy equipment using hand tools, power tools, and specialized diagnostic equipment.
- Conduct maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and system inspections.
- Work with schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical systems, and mechanical components.
- Assist in the assembly and disassembly of mechanical systems or parts during repair procedures.
- Follow safety protocols when handling heavy lifting tasks or operating industrial machinery.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs and maintenance schedules.
- Maintain detailed records of services performed and parts used.
Skills
- Proven experience in automotive repair with dealership or independent shop background preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge across various systems including electrical, engine diagnostics, and transmission repairs.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment
- Strong troubleshooting skills for complex mechanical or electrical issues.
- Experience working with industrial equipment or large-scale machinery is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments.
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures for diverse vehicle types and industrial machinery is desirable.
