Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Drafter to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and schematics for various construction and engineering projects. This role requires proficiency in CAD software and a strong understanding of drafting standards, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, architects, and project managers to produce high-quality design documentation.
Duties
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit, or SolidWorks.
- Create schematics, technical layouts, and construction documents aligned with project specifications.
- Utilize SketchUp, NavisWorks, Civil 3D, and 2D animation tools to enhance visualizations and project presentations.
- Interpret engineering sketches, blueprints, and technical manuals to produce accurate drafts.
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to review design concepts and incorporate necessary modifications.
- Ensure all drawings adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.
- Maintain organized digital files of drawings and revisions for easy access and version control.
- Assist with cabinet design projects
Requirements
- Proven experience in drafting using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, or SolidWorks.
- Strong knowledge of schematics, construction documentation, and technical drafting standards.
- Familiarity with SketchUp, NavisWorks, Civil 3D, 2D animation tools, and related visualization software is preferred.
- Basic understanding of civil engineering or construction processes is advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.
