Summary
We are seeking a Dispatcher to join our dynamic team at Strategic Defence Inc. in our Kelowna Operations Center. We are hiring for our overnight shift. This role is essential in ensuring effective communication and coordination within our alarm monitoring center, contributing to the safety and security of our clients.
Responsibilities
- Receive and process incoming alarm signals from various clients.
- Coordinate responses with emergency services and internal teams as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of all communications and actions taken during incidents.
- Monitor alarm systems and ensure timely follow-up on alerts.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients during emergency situations.
- Assist in training new dispatch personnel on procedures and protocols.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions.
- Experience in a dispatch or customer service role is an asset but not required.
- Proficient in using computer systems and software for record-keeping.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
