Westpro Machinery Inc is an innovative Canadian company with an experienced engineering team that designs and manufactures mineral processing equipment. We have a global presence and over 40 years of experience in the mining industry, with worldwide manufacturing capabilities and equipment installations in over 20 countries.
The company has an immediate opening for a Senior Project Manager who will operate at a high level of Customer Service with direct report to the Operations Manager.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for Multiple Customer Projects at one time, ensuring each Project is being processed efficiently and timely from Project Start through Design Engineering, Procurement, Production, Installation, and Commissioning;
· Continuously monitor Project Progress against the budget and report the same to Management at least bi-weekly;
· Be the main point person for communications between the Customer and the Company for current and past projects, including warranty issues and general Customer service;
· Deal directly with on-site issues and travel to the site as required to supervise progress, resolve problems, supervise commissioning and be the Company’s main presence for the Project;
· Report Project Progress, Schedules, Inspection Test Plans, Quality Reports, etc. to the Customer as required by the Project Contract Obligations;
· Generate correspondence, drawings, spreadsheets, etc. to effectively manage Projects;
· Be proactive in obtaining Project Spare Parts orders;
· Review Bills of Materials and approve Supplier Purchase Orders to ensure the Project is on time and below budget;
· Work with the Procurement Department and with vendors on part specification, selection, delivery and pricing;
· Able to work without supervision and make sound business and engineering decisions;
· Comply with internal engineering standards;
· Domestic and Global travel to Customer Project Sites and to Sub-Suppliers may be required;
· Additional duties as requested by Management.
Education and Certifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering,
· Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation.
· Project Management Professional (PMP) designation an asset.
Experience and Skills:
· Minimum of 5 to 10 years of project management experience,
· Must be familiar with AutoCAD and SolidWorks drawings,
· Above average proficiency with office software programs; MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Acrobat,
· Excellent communication, multi-tasking skills and organization skills required.
Pay: $90,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
