Position Overview
We're looking for a motivated and reliable Brewery Assistant to support daily brewing and cellar operations. This role is ideal for someone interested in craft beer production who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the brewer with brew day operations, including milling grain, mashing, boiling and trasferring wort
- Clean and sanitize brewing equipment, fermenters, kegs and hoses
- Help with packaging operations (kegging, canning, labeling, and palletizing)
- Maintain sanitation standards by cleaning work areas, equipment, and tools regularly
- Monitor fermentation and record brewing data as directed
- Maintain a clean and organized brewery workspace
- Support inventory management for ingredients and packaging materials
- Assist with basic maintenance of brewing equipment
- Occaisonally help with taproom or event support if needed
Qualifications
- Strong interest in craft beer and brewing
- Ability to lift up to 25-30 kg (55-65 lbs) and perform physical tasks
- Comfortable working in a wet, hot, and fast-paced production environment
- Good attention to detail and willingness to follow procedures
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Flexible schedule, including occasional early mornings or weekends
Preferred (Not Required)
- Previous experience in brewing, food production, or manufacturing
- Basic understanding of brewing processes and sanitation practices
- Forklift operation experience
- Brewing or fermentation education
