Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Utilize schematics to troubleshoot vehicle issues accurately.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
- Assemble and disassemble vehicle components as necessary for repairs.
- Operate various power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Communicate with customers regarding their vehicle's needs and provide exceptional customer service.
- Assist in heavy lifting of automotive parts or equipment as required.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or similar role is preferred.
- Strong understanding of automotive repair techniques and practices.
- Familiarity with using schematics for troubleshooting is essential.
- Experience with welding is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks associated with automotive repair.
- Proficiency in the use of both hand tools and power tools is required.
