Hi! We produce a podcast where a physio (Brent Stevenson) and a special ed consultant (Matt Giammarino) talk about “Why Things Hurt and How We Learn” - and we need some help.
If you have a good ear for audio, are well organized, can lead a project, and get excited at the idea of helping people learn and grow, then please read on!
(If you happen to have background or interest in education or human kinetics that’s a bonus too.)
Job Duties
We've got a budget of up to five hours each week. Your job is to use that time effectively between two priorities:
- producing the podcast, editing the transcript, getting it to our audio editor, and coordinating the episode release
- helping us improve our clips and social distribution where time allows.
We record on Wednesday mornings (usually, with some availability required on other days), and we need you there to set up technology, provide feedback, and be on the call as we record.
Then, you’ll do a first edit of the text (after downloading the files, and producing the transcript). You’ll get it to our audio editor, and coordinate feedback on the drafts that are produced. After getting approval from the hosts, you’ll coordinate the completion and distribution of the audio files, youtube videos, transcripts, and clips.
You’ll work with guests to test their audio/video setups before recording dates, and generally coordinate recording dates. You might reach out to potential guests as well.
These are the core responsibilities. In weeks where these responsibilities are less, we want you to help us get the word out….and this is a spot where your creativity and ingenuity can shine! We're a couple of middle-aged dads who aren’t up on the newest ideas --- and we bet YOU have some fun ideas ….. What things could we do that might get our podcast into the ears and eyes of listeners who wouldn't see us otherwise?
We’re open to:
- Cutting different clips and promos
- Putting our stuff on new platforms (currently YouTube and Insta)
- Doing things we haven’t thought of! (feel free to suggest them in your application).
If you can help us get the podcast produced well and on time -- and then help us get the results into the ears and eyes of people who will be interested to hear it, we're going to be thrilled.
What You Can Expect:
Logistics
- We’ll start with a 6 week trial to see if it’s a good fit for both of us

- We’re offering $32-$42/hr, depending on experience.
- You’re paid as a contractor, invoiced monthly
