Summary
We are seeking a highly technical, detail-oriented, and proactive Traffic Management Plan (TMP) Designer to join our team. This role is critical for the safety and efficiency of our field operations, responsible for creating comprehensive traffic management plans that comply with all provincial regulations and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Development: Create high-quality Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) and Traffic Control Plans (TCPs) utilizing industry-standard software such as Invarion/Rapid Plan.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs strictly adhere to the 2020 Traffic Management Manual (TMM) and Section 18 of the WorkSafeBC OHS Regulations.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with Project Coordinators and Field Construction Managers to identify specific resource and equipment needs based on project site requirements.
- Permit Coordination: Assist in the preparation of permit request packages for submission to relevant Ministry and municipal authorities.
- Technical Support: Provide guidance to requestors and field teams regarding plan implementation and provincial traffic regulations.
Additional Responsibilities/Requirements
- Support and cover administrative team when required.
- Learn and perform all tasks associated with the administrative team.

- Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team
Qualifications
Required
- Industry Experience: A minimum of 2–5 years of experience within the traffic control or road construction industry in British Columbia.
- Software Proficiency: Proven experience using Invarion/Rapid Plan for traffic design.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Expert-level knowledge of the Ministry of Transportation & Infrastructure (MoTI) TMM and WorkSafeBC regulations.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to read complex site plans and identify necessary traffic control resources.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for cross-team coordination.
Preferred
- Local Knowledge: Deep understanding of Province of British Columbia traffic patterns and municipal requirements.
- Technical Tools: Proficiency with Google Workspace (Drive, Gmail, Maps)
- Adaptability: Proven ability to handle high-pressure situations and manage frequent changes in project scope.
- Additional Experience: 2 years traffic control infield experience
