The Master Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing the master production schedule to support customer demand, inventory objectives, and operational efficiency within a high-volume electronics manufacturing environment. This role serves as a key liaison between Production, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Engineering, Customer Service, and Quality to ensure materials and manufacturing capacity are aligned to achieve on-time delivery and business objectives.
The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced in manufacturing planning processes, ERP systems, and production scheduling in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on customer demand, forecasts, inventory targets, and production capacity.
- Create and execute detailed production schedules to optimize resource utilization, labor efficiency, and equipment availability.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to address changing customer requirements, supply constraints, engineering changes, and production issues.
- Ensure production plans support customer delivery commitments while minimizing excess
- inventory and manufacturing disruptions.
- Balance demand and capacity across manufacturing operations.
Demand & Inventory Management
- Review customer forecasts, sales orders, and historical demand trends to develop accurate production plans.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Purchasing teams to ensure timely availability of components and raw materials.
- Monitor inventory levels and identify risks related to shortages, excess inventory, or obsolescence.
- Support inventory optimization initiatives and cycle count accuracy.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, Procurement, Quality, and Customer Service teams to coordinate production priorities.
- Participate in Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (S&OP) activities.
- Communicate schedule changes, material constraints, and capacity concerns to key stakeholders.
- Assist in managing engineering change orders (ECOs) and new product introductions (NPIs) from a planning perspective.
Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
- Track and report key performance metrics including:
- On-Time Delivery (OTD)
- Schedule Adherence
- Production Attainment
- Inventory Turns
- Capacity Utilization
- Material Availability
- Analyze scheduling and production data to identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning accuracy and operational performance.
- Maintain accurate data within ERP/MRP systems.
Risk Management
- Identify potential supply chain, capacity, and production risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Escalate material shortages and production bottlenecks proactively.
- Support contingency planning to minimize customer delivery disruptions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Possess/be able to acquire and maintain Security clearance
- Clear Criminal Background Check and Credit Check
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Minimum 5 years of production planning, scheduling, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in electronics manufacturing, EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services), PCB assembly, or high-mix/low-volume manufacturing strongly preferred.
- Experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Epicor, Microsoft Dynamics, IQMS, Plex, or similar.

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.

Preferred Certifications
- APICS/ASCM Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM)
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification considered an asset
Working Conditions
- Full-time position located on-site in London, Ontario.
- Regular presence on the manufacturing floor required.
- Occasional extended hours may be required to support business needs, customer demands, or production challenges.

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
