Robertson Plastics is a locally owned plastics distribution and value-added manufacturing company that has been serving customers for over 33 years. We are a small, stable team that takes pride in quality work, modern equipment, and a clean, organized shop.
We are currently looking for a Production Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, learning new equipment, and being part of a reliable team that takes pride in getting orders out accurately and on time.
What You'll Do
As a Production Technician, you will support daily production and shipping operations including:
- Cutting plastic sheet and rod material to order
- Operating CNC horizontal saws and band saws
- Assisting with CNC router operation (training provided)
- Packaging and preparing customer orders for shipment
- Creating waybills and shipping documentation
- Receiving incoming shipments
- Inventory counting and material organization
- Assisting with fabrication projects
- Loading trucks and handling materials
- Performing basic quality checks
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Equipment Used
You will work with equipment such as:
- CNC horizontal saw
- CNC router (training provided)
- band saws
- forklift
- hand tools
- material handling equipment
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is:
- Reliable and punctual
- Detail oriented
- Mechanically inclined
- A self-starter who takes initiative
- Comfortable working with numbers and measurements
Entry-level applicants are welcome to apply. Warehouse experience is an asset but not required.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
- Comfortable standing for much of the day
- Ability to work with fractions, decimals, and measurement conversions
- Valid driver’s license
- Able to communicate clearly in English
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Ability to reliably commute to Langley, BC
Preferred but not required:
- Forklift certification
- CNC router experience
- Warehouse or production experience
Compensation & Benefits
