Pavement Pros is seeking an experienced AZ Driver to join our paving team. A successful candidate will be responsible for hauling equipment and materials to and from job sites while maintaining company vehicles and equipment to the highest standards.
Requirements:
- Valid Ontario AZ Driver's Licence
- Minimum 3 years of AZ driving experience
- Must provide a Letter of Experience from a current or previous insurance provider
- Clean driver's abstract and CVOR record
- Experience towing tag-along floats/trailers equipped with air brakes
- Experience loading, securing, chaining, and unchaining heavy equipment
- Knowledge of MTO regulations and safe load securement practices
- Ability to work extended hours during the paving season
- Reliable transportation to and from our yard
Responsibilities
- Transport paving equipment to and from job sites
- Operate dump trucks and float trailers safely and efficiently
- Load and haul aggregates, gravel, hot asphalt, and other materials as required
- Load, secure, transport, and unload heavy equipment
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Complete required vehicle inspection reports and documentation
- Maintain assigned truck and trailer, including:
- Greasing equipment
- Checking and topping up engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid, and other fluids
- Monitoring tire condition and air systems
- Keeping equipment clean and in good working order
- Reporting maintenance issues promptly
- Follow all company safety policies and MTO regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in paving, road building, or heavy civil construction
- Experience hauling asphalt, aggregates, and construction equipment
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine preventative maintenance
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
