Job description:
Night Baker (Early Morning Production) – Morning People
Location: Cook Street Village
Please note: Applications with a cover letter or personalized message and available references will be prioritized.
Morning People is hiring a Night Baker to take ownership of our prep production.
This is one of the most trusted roles in our kitchen — you’re setting the foundation for the entire day’s service.
It’s a quiet, focused role that requires consistency, independence, and pride in your work. You’ll be working solo in the early hours, moving through a clear set of systems and leaving the space ready for the day ahead.
If you enjoy working independently, like having your own rhythm, and care about doing things properly, you’ll feel right at home here.
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Saturday
11:00 PM – 6:00 AM
(Must be able to commit to all shifts consistently)
What You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Baking potatoes to spec, cooling, and storing correctly for service
- Producing granola
- Completing additional prep as needed
- Following recipes and organizational systems with consistency and care
- Working swiftly - completing all assigned prep items while maintaining accuracy and a clean workspace
- Fully cleaning and resetting the kitchen, including all dishes, before the next baker's shift
- Handing off a clean, organized, fully prepped space to the next baker (full duties list complete)
What Matters Most in This Role:
- Efficiency, reliability and consistency (accuracy)
- Comfort working independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Taking ownership of your space and your work
- Leaving things clean, organized, and ready for the next person
This Role Likely Isn’t the Right Fit If:
- Early mornings feel like a struggle
- You prefer working closely alongside a team at all times
- You need frequent direction or oversight
If this sounds like a fit, send us a message through Indeed with a sentence on why early mornings work well for you. We look forward to hearing from you.
