We’re hiring: Facilities Coordinator

Sturgeon Public Schools is seeking a Facilities Coordinator to provide leadership and oversight of key administrative and instructional applications that support schools and Central Office operations. Reporting to the Director of Facilities Services, this role plays a critical part in ensuring systems are reliable, secure, and aligned with divisional priorities.
By providing leadership to facilities support staff, managing resources, budgets, and systems, and coordinating the work that keeps schools functioning each day, this position directly supports student learning and staff success. The role serves as a key link between schools, Central Office, contractors, and facilities personnel, ensuring that maintenance, operations, and capital priorities are aligned with divisional goals. Through strong leadership, sound financial stewardship, and effective problem-solving, the Facilities Coordinator helps create learning environments where students and staff can thrive.
What You Bring

5-years of management experience in an office environment, facilities management is considered an asset.
- Experience managing a team of a minimum of 10 people.
- Finance experience, a finance diploma or certification is an asset.
- Software management experience in Advanced Excel, Microsoft applications, visual presentations, Google platforms, drafting and submitting reports)

Experience managing a budget of 5 million dollars or more is an asset.
- Experience leading, supervising, or coordinating technical or application support staff

Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical information into practical guidance

Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities

Experience working in a public-sector or education environment is an asset

Knowledge of data governance, privacy, and system integrations is preferred

Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders in a changing environment
