Job Summary
We are seeking a SKILLED FABRICATOR / WELDER to join our fabrication team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of weld symbols, blueprint reading, and various welding techniques to produce high-quality products for construction and other manufacturing applications. The Fabricator/Welder will work closely with team members to ensure projects meet specifications and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project requirements.
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on various metals, ensuring strong and precise welds.
- Utilize plasma cutting, press brake machines, hand tools and power tools to shape and assemble components.
- Rigging materials and equipment safely for lifting and positioning parts using cranes or forklifts.
- Measure materials accurately , perform basic math calculations for measurements and tolerances.
- Assemble fabricated parts according to specifications, ensuring proper fit and finish.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in welding (MIG and TIG) with the ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication processes including plasma cutting, machining, press brake operation, and assembly.
- Familiarity with rigging techniques, crane operation, forklift handling, hand tools, power tools, and basic math skills.
- Ability to interpret schematics and use calipers for precise measurements.
- Knowledge of manufacturing standards related to ductwork or construction fabrication is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment while adhering to all safety regulations.
