The Opportunity: Sous Chef
This hands-on role will work directly with the Head Chef and upper management at Red Card, Uva and Cibo. The ideal candidate must have prior kitchen management experience and a strong understanding of the hospitality industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping to lead and motivate the culinary team to deliver the highest standard.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare dishes
- Create recipes
- Assist in running and managing kitchen operations
- Assist in hiring, training and supervising cooks and other kitchen staff
- Assist in planning menus
- Assist in preparing schedules for kitchen staff
- Ensure kitchen is clean, well-supplied and organized
What You Have
- 3 + years of experience as a cook/chef.
- Cook's trade certification or equivalent credentials, training and experience.
- Ability to maintain a climate of smooth and friendly cooperation.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada to be considered.
