Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Event Operations Assistant to support the planning, coordination, and execution of various events. The upcoming event we have in mind is the Annual Charity Golf Tournament. This role involves working closely with event teams to ensure seamless operations, exceptional guest experiences, and efficient management of event logistics. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, with a background in hospitality or restaurant experience being a plus. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop skills in event management, customer service, and operations within a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and setup of events, including venue preparation and equipment arrangements
- Coordinate with vendors, clients, and team members to ensure all event requirements are met
- Support guest services by addressing attendee inquiries and providing excellent hospitality
- Manage event timelines to ensure all activities proceed smoothly and on schedule
- Upsell additional services or products to enhance guest experience and meet event goals
- Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to secure the best options within budget constraints
- Oversee on-site operations during events, ensuring safety standards and quality control are maintained
- Assist with budgeting tasks, tracking expenses, and maintaining financial records for events
- Maintain organized documentation related to event logistics, contracts, and schedules
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and resolve issues promptly
