Seva Medical Clinic is seeking a dedicated, organized, and experienced Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional front desk support, manage electronic medical records, and ensure smooth daily operations in a fast-paced family practice, walk-in, and urgent care setting. Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional, courteous, and friendly manner
- Manage multi-line phone systems, schedule appointments, and respond to patient inquiries
- Maintain and update electronic medical records using systems such as Epic and/or Dentrix
- Verify patient insurance details and assist with billing and administrative procedures
- Prepare, organize, and manage medical documentation and correspondence
- Perform administrative duties including data entry, filing, scanning, and faxing
- Ensure strict compliance with patient confidentiality and privacy regulations
- Support physicians and clinical staff with administrative tasks as needed
- Maintain an efficient and organized front desk environment
Qualifications
- Completion of a Medical Office Assistant program or related education
- Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) Certificate
- 1–2 years of experience in a medical clinic, urgent care, or hospital setting
- Proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic, Dentrix, or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare documentation standards
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage a busy front desk and multi-line phone system
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
- Availability for evening and weekend shifts
