Position Summary
This position will perform various physical tasks to clean, sanitize, and maintain the arena during major concerts and sporting events in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to work in a team environment, take direction, and work individually. Ideally individuals will be detail oriented to ensure a clean and safe facility for all patrons coming to the Meridian Centre. WHMIS training is an asset.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- General cleaning and sanitation of the facility inside and out.
- Cleaning and sanitizing all washrooms on a regular basis during events.
- Restock paper towels, toilet paper, and soap dispensers regularly.
- Changing garbage’s periodically throughout the events.
- Detail clean and sanitization of changerooms and hospitality rooms.
- Sweeping and mopping any spills during events.
- Sweeping and mopping stairwells post events.
- Responding to any janitorial calls throughout the events.
- Any other related duties to maintain a safe and clean facility that are assigned.
Skills and Abilities
- Previous Facility Cleaning or Housekeeping experience is an asset.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision as well as a team member.
- Professional presentation, appearance and work ethic.
- Ability to work varied schedule including days, evenings and weekends as each event is unique and may vary in start time.

Other Requirements
Due to the nature of our business, candidates will need to be able to work flexible hours; primarily overnights, weekends and occasional holidays.
