As a Medical Laboratory Assistant I, you will provide high quality service to clients of the clinical laboratory in an effective, efficient and safe manner. You will be responsible for a variety of laboratory functions including procurement, handling, processing, dispatching and testing of specimens, performing procedures and reporting results.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Completion of a recognized Medical Laboratory Assistant training program including a microscopic urinalysis component. Equivalencies may be considered. All blood collection procedures including venipuncture, micro-punctures, blood culture collection as well as collections on all patient ages including newborns, pediatrics and geriatrics. Recent experience performing macroscopic and microscopic urinalysis testing.
Preferred Qualifications:
2 years recent experience working as a Medical Laboratory Assistant. Recent experience with Epic Connect Care. Current registration with CSMLS. Recent experience performing urinalysis using Clinitek Advantus.
