Mold Design & Engineering
Design complete molds from initial concept through final production.
Create detailed 2D drawings, 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing documentation using SolidWorks.
Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), design libraries, and engineering documentation.
Perform mechanical simulations and design reviews as required.
Interpret customer specifications, engineering documents, and technical drawings.
Support manufacturing teams with design clarification and technical guidance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
Documentation & Quality Standards
Maintain accurate engineering drawings and documentation.
Ensure designs comply with GD&T and ANSI drawing standards.
Support ISO compliance within the production environment.
Follow GMP, cleanroom, and quality procedures.
Participate in research and development (R&D) meetings and technical improvement initiatives.
Maintain and update design standards and internal libraries.
Strong knowledge of mold design concepts and manufacturing processes.
Experience designing multi-cavity molds.
Experience with silicone and plastic mold design.
Overmolding experience is considered an asset.
Proficiency in SolidWorks and CAD design practices.
Strong understanding of GD&T and ANSI drawing standards.
Ability to read, interpret, and analyze technical drawings.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Excellent technical communication and organizational abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet customer-driven deadlines.
