Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Service Counter Attendant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing food items, and managing transactions in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food handling, cashiering, and maintaining high standards of sanitation and food safety. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, POS systems, and customer service while contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and standards
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Manage cashier responsibilities including processing payments accurately and efficiently
- Provide friendly and attentive customer service, taking orders and addressing customer inquiries
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, adhering to food safety regulations
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service
- Restock supplies as needed and assist with basic kitchen tasks when required
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Experience with food preparation, serving, and upselling menu items is advantageous
- Excellent time management skills to handle peak hours smoothly

Pay: $15.35-$17.00 per hour
