Shalom Hillside Daycare – Now Hiring: Full-Time ECE Teacher
Shalom Hillside is looking for an experienced (minimum 1–2 years), permanent full-time Early Childhood Educator to join our team!
We are seeking one ECE teacher for our play-based, child-led Infant and Toddler Program. Our dedicated team of educators values collaboration, strength-based perspectives, and communication—with the child and their caregivers at the center of our work.

Job Responsibilities
- Lead activities such as storytelling, songs, and walks to local points of interest
- Support ECE educators in implementing programs that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development
- Plan and prepare developmentally appropriate, child-led activities and curriculum
- Create engaging, safe, and stimulating learning environments
- Supervise and care for children while maintaining required ratios
- Follow Shalom Daycare policies, procedures, and the ECEBC Code of Ethics
- Work collaboratively with other staff and families
- Stay calm and professional in high-stress situations
- Lift and assist young children when necessary (e.g., for care and changing)
- Participate in ongoing professional development
- Assist with general classroom clean-up

Requirements
- Valid BC ECE License to Practice
- Criminal record check
- CPR certification
- Professional references
Compensation
+ $6/hr Wage Enhancement (not included in base rate above)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
