Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to plan projects.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials, including wood, steel, and other construction materials.
- Build and install structures such as framing, stairs, decks, and custom millwork.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Lead, mentor, and guide apprentices and less experienced team members.
- Ensure projects meet high-quality standards and are completed on time.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site, adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Red Seal Certification in Carpentry is an asset
- Proven experience as a carpenter, with a portfolio showcasing a range of completed projects.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, as well as familiarity with construction materials and methods.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and working in varying conditions.
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality craftsmanship.
Job Type: Flexible, Full-time
Pay: $34.00-$40.00 per hour, depending on experience
