Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Seamstress to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sewing and a strong understanding of garment construction and repair. This role involves working with various fabrics and materials to create high-quality products that meet our standards. The Seamstress will play a crucial role in ensuring that all items are crafted with precision and care, contributing to the overall success of our manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
- Operate sewing machines and other equipment to sew, hem, and finish garments and textiles.
- Read and interpret patterns, specifications, and technical drawings to ensure accurate production.
- Measure, cut, and prepare fabric according to design requirements.
- Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet company standards.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot any issues that arise during the sewing process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking materials used and reporting shortages as needed.
- Customer service; POS; answering phone as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Seamstress or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with various fabrics, sewing techniques, and garment construction methods.
- Manufacturing or warehouse experience is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
