We are currently looking for an experienced Geomatics Technologist in our Calgary location. Summary of Responsibilities:
Working under the direct supervision of the Calgary Assistant Office Manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Reviewing all relevant project related documentation and having a basic understanding of project workflows.

Providing clear and direct communication when interacting with field crews, drafting staff, Project Managers, and Land Surveyors.

Carrying out all types of survey data reduction and survey plan calculations while maintaining proper involvement of the Project Manager/Land Surveyor.

Following proper plan checking guidelines, including proper storage and markup requirements.

Responsible for survey computations and plan preparation for construction and legal surveys.
Preference will be given to candidates who hold a degree or diploma in Geomatics and/or Survey Technology from a recognized technical school. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
The successful candidate will have:

Degree or Diploma in Geomatics from a recognized technical school or equivalent experience.

3+ years of experience as a Geomatics Technician, or related position.

A working knowledge of how GPS and total stations are used in the collection of survey data.

Proficient in the use of survey software, including MicroSurvey.

As an asset, but not required, experience with processing LiDAR and 3D Terrestrial Scan data.
