Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, ensure food safety standards are met, and support the kitchen staff in delivering high-quality meals. Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble components for menu items, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as cooking, plating, and portioning dishes according to recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of food items
- Support the kitchen team during busy periods by efficiently completing assigned prep tasks
- Assist with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of supplies needed
Experience
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant kitchens is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards is advantageous
- Familiarity with serving and meal presentation enhances performance in this role
- Previous experience in the food industry or kitchen environment demonstrates reliability and a strong work ethic
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
