Join a Growing Heavy Civil Construction Team
We are looking for an ambitious Civil Estimator / Project Coordinator / Site Inspector to join our Heavy Civil Division. This position works directly alongside the Division Manager, assisting with estimating, project coordination, construction administration, and field operations on a variety of municipal and infrastructure projects throughout Saskatchewan.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Civil Engineer, Civil Engineering Technologist, Construction Management graduate, or experienced civil construction professional looking to develop into a Project Manager.
The successful candidate will be involved in projects from the initial tender stage through construction and project close-out.

- Underground water and sewer infrastructure
- Storm sewer systems
- Municipal road construction
- Residential and commercial subdivisions
- Earthworks and grading
- Water treatment plants
- Wastewater treatment facilities
- Lift stations and pumping stations
- Lagoons
- Utility installation
- Concrete structures and civil infrastructure
Primary Responsibilities
Estimating & Tender Preparation
- Assist in preparing competitive tender bids.
- Complete quantity take-offs from engineering drawings.
- Review specifications, contract documents, and tender requirements.
- Obtain quotations from subcontractors and material suppliers.
- Assist in developing accurate project cost estimates.
- Prepare bid documentation for submission.
- Identify project risks and opportunities during the estimating process.
Project Management Support
- Work directly with the Division Manager on active projects.
- Assist with planning and coordinating multiple construction projects.
- Prepare and update construction schedules.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and equipment requirements.
- Track project costs, production, and progress.
- Assist with project documentation and reporting.
- Participate in planning meetings and project reviews.
Construction Administration
- Request and review shop drawings.
- Prepare and track submittals.
- Process Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Assist with change orders and contract documentation.
- Maintain project files and construction records.
- Coordinate communication between owners, consultants, suppliers, and field crews.
Site Inspection & Field Support
- Attend site meetings with consultants, municipalities, and owners.
- Monitor construction progress and quality.
- Assist with site inspections and contract administration.
- Verify quantities and completed work.
- Support field crews with technical information and documentation.
Survey & Technology
Assist with construction survey work when required using:
- GPS survey equipment
- Drone LiDAR technology
- Rod and Level / Laser Level
Experience with the following is considered an asset:
- Drone LiDAR
- Photogrammetry
- Topographic surveys
- Construction layout
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who enjoys both office and field work.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Background in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technologies, or Construction Management
- 5+ years of experience in heavy civil construction, consulting engineering, or municipal infrastructure
- Strong understanding of civil construction methods
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Experience with any of the following is considered an asset:
- AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Microsoft Project
- Topcon GPS equipment
- DJI drones and LiDAR systems
- LiDAR360
