Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Painting Team Lead to join our growing team. In this role, you won't just be a painter — you'll be a key part of how we deliver an exceptional experience to every client. You'll lead a small crew on residential and commercial job sites, set the standard for quality, and act as the face of West Coast Pro Painting in the field. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and mentoring a crew of painters on interior and exterior job sites
- Setting the pace and standard for quality on every project
- Acting as the primary point of contact for clients on site, ensuring a professional and positive experience
- Applying paint, varnishes, stains, and other finishes to a variety of surfaces using industry-best techniques
- Inspecting surfaces for defects and implementing appropriate prep and repair work
- Planning and sequencing daily work to keep projects on schedule and on budget
- Ensuring all team members follow safety regulations and company standards
- Maintaining tools, equipment, and job site organization
- Communicating job progress and any issues to management
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of professional painting experience (more is a strong asset)
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and hold a team accountable
- Strong customer service skills — you're comfortable talking to clients and leaving a lasting impression
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Comfortable working safely from heights (ladders, scaffolding, lifts)
- High attention to detail and a pride in quality workmanship
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage your time and your crew effectively
