Soccer Coach – Fall/Winter 2026/27
We are looking for passionate, reliable, and development-focused Soccer Coaches to join our coaching staff for the upcoming Fall/Winter 2026/27 season.
We are seeking coaches who enjoy working with youth players, are committed to player development, and want to be part of a positive and collaborative club environment.
Our Fall/Winter season runs from August 2026 to March 2027, and successful candidates must be able to commit to two practices per week and one league game on the weekend.
The Role
As a coach, you will be responsible for creating a positive, challenging, and enjoyable environment where players can develop their technical ability, tactical understanding, confidence, and love for the game.
Coaches will work within the club's player development philosophy and curriculum, with ongoing support and guidance from the Technical Director and Technical Staff.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver two organized, age-appropriate training sessions per week
- Coach the team during weekend league games
- Follow the player development philosophy and curriculum
- Develop players' technical skills, tactical understanding, decision-making, and overall game awareness
- Create a positive, inclusive, and development-focused team environment
- Provide constructive and age-appropriate feedback to players
- Communicate professionally with players, parents, fellow coaches, and club staff
- Work collaboratively with other coaches within the same age group
- Monitor individual player development and identify opportunities for players to progress within the club
- Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, respect, commitment, and a love for the game
- Maintain a safe and professional training environment
Qualifications
We are interested in hearing from both experienced coaches and individuals looking to continue developing their coaching careers.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Previous soccer coaching and/or playing experience
- Strong understanding of soccer fundamentals and player development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with youth players of different ages and abilities
- A positive, reliable, and professional attitude
- Willingness to collaborate with other coaches and Technical Staff
- Commitment to attending scheduled practices and weekend games
- Passion for developing young players
BC Soccer/Canada Soccer coaching certification is considered an asset.
Additional coaching education and support may be available for suitable candidates looking to continue their development.
Time Commitment
Successful candidates should be available for:
Two weekday practices per week
Typically scheduled during the late afternoon/evening.
One weekend league game
Boys teams typically play Saturdays and girls teams typically play Sundays.
The Fall/Winter season runs approximately August 2026 – March 2027.
Consistency and reliability are extremely important. We are looking for coaches who can commit to their team for the duration of the season.
