Plant Matter Kitchen is hiring a Part-Time Line & Prep Cook to join our back-of-house team on Mondays.
This position is ideal for someone with some kitchen experience who is looking for consistent part-time work in a busy, high-standard restaurant kitchen. We are willing to train the right person with minimal experience, but you must be quick, efficient, reliable, and able to manage your time well.
Plant-based kitchen experience is not required. What matters most is a positive attitude, the ability to move quickly, and a willingness to learn our systems, menu, and standards.

- Training provided under our Executive Chef and Sous Chef
- Primarily scratch-made kitchen with most items prepared in-house

Responsibilities
- Assist with line service during busy periods
- Complete prep tasks efficiently and to spec
- Prepare menu items accurately and consistently
- Learn Plant Matter Kitchen’s menu, systems, and plating standards
- Assist with scratch-made prep and in-house production
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workstation
- Follow food safety standards, including proper storage, FIFO rotation, and temperature controls
- Communicate clearly with the kitchen team during service
- Stay calm, focused, and professional during busy periods
- Support the kitchen team wherever needed
What We’re Looking For
