Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Gas Station Attendant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing fuel and convenience store operations, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and a proactive approach to sales and customer engagement. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with fueling vehicles efficiently
- Operate POS systems for cash handling, sales transactions, and receipts
- Manage merchandise displays, restock shelves, and ensure cleanliness of the store area
- Conduct product demos and upsell items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining phone etiquette
- Perform basic math calculations for transactions and inventory management
- Maintain safety standards by monitoring fuel pumps and store premises
- Assist with merchandising efforts to promote products effectively
- Handle cash register operations accurately while managing cash handling procedures
Requirements
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory counts
- Organizational skills to manage stock levels and maintain store presentation
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing time effectively
- Knowledge of POS systems, merchandising, and upselling techniques is advantageous
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for engaging with customers
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or evenings if required
- Candidate must be 19 years or older.
