Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly, efficient and experienced Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, managing POS transactions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction. Prior restaurant or food industry experience is preferred, along with strong communication skills and a passion for hospitality.

True Hospitality is a boutique restaurant brand house. We own and/or operate four independent restaurants and is the franchisee of Shark Club Winnipeg. The four independent restaurants include Cibo Waterfront Cafe, Junction 59 Roadhouse, the James Avenue Pumphouse, and Dave and Lavernes
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash, process payments accurately, and manage cashiering duties
- Ensure proper food handling and sanitation procedures are followed in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist in food preparation when necessary and support kitchen staff as needed
- Upsell menu items to increase sales and enhance guest satisfaction
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Maintain cleanliness of service areas, tables, and dining spaces
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure a positive experience
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations
- Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Hospitality or serving experience is advantageous but not mandatory
