Bruno's Contracting (Thunder Bay) Limited is a heavy civil construction group with over forty years’ experience in heavy civil construction, road building, asphalt paving, materials production, and demolition. We are currently welcoming applications for a full-time Construction Foreman capable of fulfilling the following requirements:
JOB DESCRIPTION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise and coordinate daily site operations, including crews, subcontractors, equipment, and materials on projects of varying size and complexity.

Plan and organize work to meet project schedules, ensuring efficient use of labour, equipment, and resources.

Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and project documents to ensure work is completed to required standards.

Monitor daily production, track progress, and report to project managers and senior management as required.

Enforce company safety policies and procedures, ensuring all work is performed in a safe and compliant manner.

Identify and resolve on-site issues, conflicts, and delays in a timely and effective manner.

Coordinate with project managers, estimators, and clients to ensure clear communication and successful project execution.

Train, mentor, and provide leadership to crew members to maintain a productive and positive work environment.

Conduct site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to specifications.
SKILLS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Strong knowledge of heavy civil construction operations, including road building, grading, and/or asphalt paving.

Proven leadership experience supervising crews in a construction environment.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions on-site.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Commitment to workplace safety and familiarity with applicable safety regulations.

Valid Class G driver’s license.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

3 years of experience in heavy civil construction is required.
-
Previous foreman or supervisory experience is considered a strong asset.

Relevant certifications (e.g., health & safety training) are considered an asset.
