Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our busy kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking menu items, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble ingredients for menu items according to recipes and standards
- Cook dishes with precision, ensuring quality, presentation, and consistency
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Follow food safety guidelines and maintain proper sanitation practices in the kitchen
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with health regulations
- Support the kitchen team during busy hours by efficiently managing multiple orders
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and cooking equipment throughout shifts
- Assist in inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of supplies needed
Skills
- Proven experience in serving or food preparation within a restaurant or food service setting
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and meal preparation methods
- Familiarity with food handling safety standards and sanitation procedures
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff
- Knowledge of the food industry trends and customer service principles is a plus
- Attention to detail in food presentation and quality control
